The Flood 2008

3/19/08 @ 10:00 am

We have been told by the park, that they are up and running. They did stock the Spring Branch with fish this am. The waters are murky and still moving. The campground is and will still be closed till at least Friday.

3/19/08 @ 8:30 am

We have spoke to the park and found that they are open for fishing. The waters have gone down, and is continuing to go down, although it is still high the water is in it's banks. We are told the campground area is still closed and will be till Friday as the cleanup process needs to take place.

3/18/08 @ 11:50 am

At around 3 am this morning campers were asked to leave the park as the waters were rising. As in the past they relocated themselves to the top of the hill at Cahill's and the church. Although most have packed it up and left by the time these picture's were taken.

As we  ventured into the park we could only get so far so we got a few shots of the bridge as everyone knows this spot and what it normally looks like.

At 8:15 we were told it was at the top of the bridge, at 9:00 we were told it was over the road by the restrooms before the bridge. We are expecting 4 to 6 inches throughout the day. We have gotten a lot of calls asking us, so we hope this helps those who it the website to find out. We will try to keep posting as we know anything. We hope to get a video link so that everyone can see more. In the mean time here is a link that will show what is was like yesterday.
